News "The Money," HBO Pilot Featuring Nathan Lane, Will Not Move Forward "The Money," a drama pilot written for HBO that featured Tony winner Nathan Lane, will not move forward, according to Deadline.com.

Directed by Justin Chadwick, David Milch's pilot focused on wealth and corruption among America's elite. The show followed American mogul and patriarch James Castman, played by Brendan Gleeson ("Troy," "Gangs of New York"), who runs a media empire.

The cast also included Tony nominee (, "Into the Woods"), (, ), Patrick Kennedy ("Downton Abbey," "Boardwalk Empire"), Dominique McElligott ("Hell on Wheels," "The Guard"), (, ), (Match, "Goodfellas"), John Carroll Lynch ("House of Lies," "Do No Harm"), Tony winner (, ) and (, "The Good Wife").

Lane played Gordon McCarren, a reporter for VistaCorp鈥檚 New York Herald, whose job security is precarious.

Lane, a Tony winner for and , recently starred in , receiving his fourth Tony nomination. His stage credits also include , , , , , and . He has performed in "The Birdcage," "30 Rock" and "Sex and the City."

Lane received Emmy nominations for both drama and comedy for his recurring roles on "The Good Wife" and "Modern Family."
