Hue Park and Will Aronson were named winners of this year's Best Original Score Tony Award at the June 8 ceremony at Radio City Music Hall, winning for their work on Best Musical nominee Maybe Happy Ending. The win is a first for both Park and Aronson, who make their Broadway debuts with the musical.

The win is the second of the night for Park and Aronson, and for Maybe Happy Ending, following their earlier win for Best Book of a Musical. The musical went into the evening as one of three shows tied to be the most nominated productions of the seasons—along with Buena Vista Social Club and Death Becomes Her, each with 10 total nominations. "This season is full of artists working in totally different styles, and we are so honored to be among them," said Park while accepting the award at Radio City. "We try to blend Korean indie pop, American jazz, modern classical, and traditional Broadway, a melting pot of sensibilities, and we are so grateful the Broadway community has embraced us."

"I just want to say I had the gift of an incredible music education in my hometown school system, and even if this hadn't been a career, it enriched my life tremendously," added Aronson. "I'm so grateful to those teachers, and to my mom who drove me to try trombone lessons and sang Irving Berlin songs to me as a baby. We're all only here because of the support we get."

2025 Tony nominee Darren Criss and Helen J Shen are leading the musical at the Belasco Theatre, where it opened November 12, 2024. The show comes to Broadway after premiering in Korean in South Korea in 2016. The English-language version of the work, written in tandem with the Korean edition, premiered at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre before coming to Broadway. 2025 Tony nominee Michael Arden is at the helm.
