What's their damage? The Heathers of the upcoming Off-Broadway return of Kevin Murphy and Laurence O'Keefe's Heathers have been revealed. McKenzie Kurtz (Wicked) will play Heather Chandler, with Olivia Elease Hardy (Kimberly Akimbo) as Heather Duke and Elizabeth Teeter (Beetlejuice) as Heather McNamara.
The show is coming back to New World Stages, where the musical made its Off-Broadway debut in 2014. This staging comes via London's The Other Palace, where the musical became a long-running hit that even got a live stage filming. The limited engagement will begin June 22 and continue through September 28. Andy Fickman is back to direct, after staging both the original Off-Broadway and London productions.

Kurtz, Hardy, and Teeter join previously announced cast members Lorna Courtney (& Juliet) as Veronica Sawyer and Casey Likes (Back to the Future) as J.D.
Heathers the Musical follows Westerberg High student Veronica Sawyer, who's on track to become one of the most popular girls in school after befriending the beautiful but cruel Heathers, only to meet a mysterious teen rebel who changes everything.
Based on the 1989 film by Daniel Waters, Heathers the Musical premiered with a sold-out run in Los Angeles in 2013, and transferred to New World Stages in 2014. The authors revised the show for a 2018 West End run, before playing two national tours and a West End encore engagement鈥攕everal new songs and script changes that will be heard in New York for the first time in the forthcoming run.
