Two-time Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry (Violet, The Scottsboro Boys), who will lead the Chicago company of Hamilton as Aaron Burr, performed a Jamaican-inspired cover of “Dear Theodosia� from the megahit musical.
“Back to my Jamaican roots in today’s Hamilton: An American Musical #10MinuteBreakSessions,� he posted with the below clip, also featuring Ari Afsar (Eliza Hamilton), Samantha Marie Ware (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds) and Chris Lee (Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson).
As previously announced, Hamilton will begin Chicago performances September 27 at The PrivateBank Theatre (18 W. Monroe). .
