SYNOPSIS: Set in a small Louisiana beauty parlor, where a group of close-knit women, including the vivacious salon owner Truvy, the strong-willed M'Lynn, the quirky Annelle, the sassy Clairee, and the curmudgeonly Ouiser, navigate life's joys and challenges together, sharing laughter, gossip, and support through major life events, most notably the struggles of young bride-to-be Shelby who battles with Type 1 diabetes, ultimately revealing the resilience of female friendship in the face of tragedy and loss.

SEEKING:

  • Truvy Jones- 40-year-old owner of a small town beauty shop. She knows everyone鈥檚 business and shares it with anyone who will listen. Southern Belle. She always has advice for you, and they are often come in the form of country sayings

  • M鈥橪ynn Eatenton- 50-year-old mother of Shelby. She is overprotective at times and finds the need to have a firm grasp on the world at all times. She is a busy woman who worries too much for her age

  • Annelle Dupuy-Desoto- (19-25) Very shy hairdresser. She goes from a very soft-spoken person to a bibe-loving Christian with her heart on her sleeve.

  • Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie- Roughly 25-year-old diabetic young lady. Prettiest girl in town, and loved by all. She has a weird relationship with her mother, and often rebels just for the sake of rebellion

  • Clairee Belcher- 60-year-old widow of the former mayor of Chinquapin. She is wealthy and also knows everyone鈥檚 business. She is the sarcastic member of the group. She loves to laugh and poke fun at the little things that others cry over. She is very close with Ouiser

  • Ouiser Bourdeaux- 60-year-old. She is a wealthy old bitty. She is a loveably miserable lady, though. Her unique personality and sense of humor is a great relief in the serious scenes.

SYNOPSIS: Nominated for two Tony awards and a Pulitzer Prize, What the Constitution Means to Me is a play by Heidi Schreck that explores the Constitution's impact on women and how it will affect future generations of Americans. Schreck, who put herself through college by giving speeches about the Constitution, resurrects her teenage self in the play.

ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE

SYNOPSIS: Jimmy Buffett鈥檚 Escape to Margaritaville is a musical comedy featuring the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including 鈥淐heeseburger in Paradise鈥�, 鈥淢argaritaville,鈥� 鈥淚t鈥檚 Five O鈥機lock Somewhere,鈥� 鈥淔ins,鈥� 鈥淰olcano,鈥� and many more. With a book by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia (鈥淢y Name is Earl,鈥� 鈥淩aising Hope鈥�) and Emmy nominee Mike O鈥橫alley (鈥淪urvivor鈥檚 Remorse,鈥� 鈥淪hameless鈥�), this hilarious, heartwarming musical is the party you鈥檝e been waiting for!

SEEKING:

  • Tully(Male age 27-39) Smooth-talking, self-deprecating playboy. He's completely content with the life he's chosen as the singer/bartender at a tropical resort, until he meets Rachel, a vacationer who upends his heart. Guitar skills are useful


  • Rachel (Female age 27-33) Fully committed to her job and helping the world. Willing to put in as many hours of hard work as it takes and expects everyone else to do the same. Suspicious of fools and operators, Rachel is not easily distracted from her life plan.


  • J.D. (Male age 60-79) A funny, endearing older man who always has a parrot on his shoulder. He's losing his vision and his hearing, but won't acknowledge it. A good-natured drunkard, he's always writing his memoirs on bar napkins and, as it turns out, he's lived a full life.

  • Tammy (Female age 30-39) Loyal friend to Rachel. Sees the best in people and has a zest for life that is often squelched by her fiance, Chad. Her low self-esteem manifests itself as denial in her own life.


  • Brick- (Male age 30-39) The Island bartender. Has a big heart and a good friend to Tully. Not the brightest bulb, but sensitive and thoughtful.

MURDER FOR TWO, HOLIDAY EDITION

SYNOPSIS:

Officer Marcus Moscowicz is a small-town policeman with dreams of making it to detective. One fateful night, shots ring out at the surprise birthday party of Great American Novelist Arthur Whitney and the writer is killed鈥atally. With the nearest detective an hour away, Marcus jumps at the chance to prove his sleuthing skills鈥攚ith the help of his silent partner, Lou. But whodunit? Did Dahlia Whitney, Arthur's scene-stealing wife, give him a big finish? Is Barrette Lewis, the prima ballerina, the prime suspect? Did Dr. Griff, the overly-friendly psychiatrist, make a frenemy? Marcus has only a short amount of time to find the killer and make his name before the real detective arrives鈥� and the ice cream melts!
