CAESAR 2025
Ridgewood, NY
US
This rendition of Shakespeare鈥檚 Julius Caesar, produced by a team of dedicated, experienced theater artists out of NYU, is an exploration of queer romance, honor, and devotion set against the politic backdrop of a country rife with division, balanced at the teetering edge of tyranny.
Laced with experimental elements, CAESAR will cultivate an atmospheric experience through the use of mask and visual effects to transport the audience into the world of the play.
We are looking for passionate, bold actors who are willing to approach Shakespeare鈥檚 Roman tragedy with emotional depth and command of verse. CAESAR will perform in the East Village the first few weekends of August, 2025.
We are casting for certain principal characters as well as members of a Greek-style chorus, who will populate the Rome of the play as senators, civilians, soldiers, and more.
To audition, we ask that you are over 18 and located in New York City. While experience with Shakespeare is preferred, it is not required in order to be considered.
Please apply online via the Google Form, providing all requested information.
Thank you for your interest.
