Casting is complete for the upcoming London transfer of Lincoln Center Theater's 2018 production of My Fair Lady. Again directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher, performances will begin May 7 prior to an official opening May 18 at the famed London venue.

As previously reported, Amara Okereke (Spring Awakening, Les Mis茅rables) will star as Eliza Doolittle with Harry Hadden-Paton (Downton Abbey, Flying Over Sunset) reprising his Tony-nominated performance as Henry Higgins. Dame Vanessa Redgrave, most recently on the West End stage in The Inheritance, will play Mrs. Higgins with Maureen Beattie as Mrs. Pearce and Sharif Afifi as Freddie Eynesford-Hill.

Newly announced for the production are Stephen K. Amos (My Night With Reg, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest) as Alfred P. Doolittle and Olivier nominee Malcolm Sinclair (Pressure) as Colonel Pickering, plus ensemble members Dammi Aregbeshola, Bernadette Bangura, Joseph Claus, Jordan Crouch, Jamie Cruttenden, Francessca Daniella-Baker, Barry Drummond, Bethany Huckle, Heather Jackson, Emma Johnson, Charlotte Kennedy, Sinead Kenny, Jenny Legg, Tom Liggins, Rebekah Lowings, Carl Patrick, Tom Ping, Dominique Planter, Joseph Poulton, John Stacey, Joshua Steel, Oliver Tester, Adam Vaughan, Annie Wensak, and Paul Westwood.

also announced that Broadway's Robert Fairchild (An American in Paris) and Adam Perry (Frozen) will run a pop-up flower shop at the Coliseum called boo鈥ay during the limited engagement. Fairchild founded the store during the Broadway shutdown. In addition to selling flowers, floristry classes will also be offered, and on Fridays, West End artists will offer performances as part of the boo鈥ay experience.

The upcoming London staging will also feature 36 musicians from the English National Opera Orchestra.

Adapted from George Bernard Shaw鈥檚 play and Gabriel Pascal鈥檚 motion picture Pygmalion, My Fair Lady has a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. The classic score includes 鈥淚 Could Have Danced All Night,鈥 鈥淕et Me to the Church on Time,鈥 鈥淲ouldn鈥檛 It Be Loverly,鈥 鈥淥n the Street Where You Live,鈥 鈥淭he Rain in Spain,鈥 and 鈥淚鈥檝e Grown Accustomed to Her Face.鈥

The production will also have sets by Michael Yeargan, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Marc Salzberg, hair and wigs by Tom Watson, musical direction by Gareth Valentine, musical supervision by Ted Sperling, and choreography by Christopher Gattelli.

During its Broadway bow, the production earned a Tony Award for Zuber鈥檚 costume design and received nine additional nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Leading Actress in a Musical for Lauren Ambrose鈥檚 performance as Cockney flower seller-turned-鈥減roper lady鈥 Eliza Doolittle (Laura Benanti subsequently stepped into the role).

Lerner and Loewe鈥檚 Pygmalion-inspired musical was last seen in a major London revival in 2001 from producer Cameron Mackintosh. The original Julie Andrews-led production transferred to London in 1958, going on to run for over five years.

James L. Nederlander, Jamie Wilson, Hunter Arnold, Playful Productions, and the English National Opera present the Lincoln Center Theater production.
