American Idol runner-up David Archuleta is currently starring in the title role of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, Utah.
“We dreamt up a world that makes the most of having a musical star on stage, said Joseph set designer Adam Koch. “When you walk in, the stage will feel like you’re heading into a contemporary concert. Then we go back in time to tell the story and then end up back at the concert.
The production also features choreography by Robbie Roby, music supervision by Christopher Babbage, music direction by Cameron Kinnear, associate music direction by Daniel Mollett, lighting design by Cory Pattak, and set design by Koch.
Archuleta will continue as Joseph through September 3. Tarzan's Josh Strickland will subsequently don the dreamcoat through the remainder of the run, which continues through October 20.
Joseph alternates with Wonderland and Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins in the Tuacahn Amphitheatre. Click of the current season.
